Thanks to two of the unnamed participants of the below bike event having been detained -- but apparently not charged -- for fighting, I now know this is called Critical Mass, a monthly event, here in Seattle. Would that more people would get detained for things when mysterious events happen.
These first four images are of a yearly bike ride through downtown. I don't know the name of the event, nor do I know how organized it is, or even if it's in association with Seafair. If any Seattlites could please comment with some explanation, I'd appreciate it.

Actually, Critical Mass is monthly on the last Friday.
